The Financial Times in the UK today speculated that SAP will announce that it has met expectations when it announces its latest results on Wednesday.
Going forward it’s going to get tougher though. As everyone knows the time taken to change course on IT programmes without throwing the investment away is considerable especially with major implementations so those are unlikely to change. But those where decisions on the initial spend are about to take place are a completely different scenario. Because of the incredible uncertainty I would expect that SAP will again give no forward indications as they did at their last update – which you’ve got to say is the right thing to do.
